This baptistery has its roots in the past, yet is first of all a peace and brotherhood warning to all peoples, but particularly to the future generations, that's why it is periodically a pilgrimage destination for people coming from all over Italy. Furthermore its anniversary is celebrated every year in the 'Day of Peace', each time with different interesting events, drawing the attention and participation of civil, religious and military authorities and of the 'Boys of '99'.
Fossalta di Piave was as well enhanced from an environmental point of view through the creation at the end of the seventies of the park in front of the town hall, with the advice of the famous naturalist botanist Henry Cooker. In different areas of the town were also created public parks and gardens with flowerbeds and trees.
